All goods remain the property of Strings.ie until payment has been received in full.

Payment Methods

We accept the following payment methods:

  • Credit/Debit Cards: Payments are processed securely by Stripe and PayPal, both complying with PCI DSS standards. We do not store your credit or debit card details.
  • Bank Transfer
  • Postal Order
  • Revolut

Pricing and Taxes

All prices displayed include VAT and any other applicable taxes. Prices and availability of products are subject to change without notice.


6. Shipping and Delivery

Dispatch Times

  • Standard Dispatch: We aim to dispatch orders within one working day.
    • Orders placed on Monday are typically posted on Tuesday.
    • Orders placed on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday are posted on Monday, excluding public holidays.
  • Busy Periods: During busy periods, dispatch times may extend up to 7 working days. If dispatch exceeds this period, we will notify you promptly.

Delivery Methods and Times

  • An Post:
    • Delivery Time: Up to 30 working days from dispatch.
    • Delayed Deliveries: If your order has not arrived after 30 working days, please contact us at sales@strings.ie for assistance.
  • DPD:
    • Delivery Time: Typically 1-3 working days.
    • Delayed Deliveries: In case of delays, DPD will notify you directly via email or text.

Postage Charges

  • Standard and Free Shipping: Standard and free shipping do not include tracking or compensation for lost or undelivered items. Choosing this option is at the customer’s risk.
  • Tracked Postal Service: We encourage customers to select a tracked postal option at checkout (e.g., DPD or An Post Tracked) for greater security.

Incorrect Addresses

It is the customer’s responsibility to provide accurate delivery information. If an order is returned due to an incorrect address, we will contact you to arrange redelivery. If delivery fails after a second attempt, a refund will be issued minus the cost of the delivery service used.

Right to Cancel Due to Delayed Delivery

If your order has not been delivered within 30 working days from the date of dispatch, you have the right to cancel your order and receive a full refund. To exercise this right, please contact us at sales@strings.ie.


7. Returns and Refunds

Right to Return

In accordance with Irish and EU consumer law, you have 14 calendar days from the day after delivery to return items purchased from Strings.ie.

Conditions for Returns

To qualify for a return, the following conditions must be met:

  • Unused Condition: Items must be in unused condition, with original packaging intact.
  • Contact Prior to Return: You must contact us before returning the item by emailing sales@strings.ie with your order number and details.

Refunds

Upon receipt of the returned goods, we will issue a refund or store credit for the value of the returned items. The refund will exclude:

  • Standard Delivery Costs: Unless the return is due to a fault on our part.
  • Return Shipping Costs: If the return is due to your error (e.g., ordering the wrong size).

Return Shipping Costs

  • If the Return is Due to Your Error (e.g., Incorrect Size):
    • You are responsible for covering the return shipping costs.
    • For orders shipped with free standard delivery, a €3.00 charge applies for returns.
  • If the Return is Due to Our Fault (e.g., Defective Product, Wrong Item Sent):
    • Return shipping costs will be covered by Strings.ie.
    • Please notify us immediately if you receive a faulty or incorrect item.

How to Return an Item

  2. Prepare the Package: Ensure the item is unused, with original packaging intact.

Refund Process

  • Processing Time: Once we receive the returned goods, we will process your refund within 14 business days.
  • Refund Method: Refunds will be made using the same payment method used for the original purchase.

  • Return shipping charges will be deducted from your refund, unless the return is due to a fault on our part.
  • Ensure you provide accurate shipping information to avoid additional charges for incorrect addresses.

8. Gift Certificates

Usage

  • Applicable To: Gift certificates can only be used on www.strings.ie.
  • Non-Transferable: Gift certificates are non-transferable to other businesses or in-person purchases.

Security

  • Safeguarding Codes: Customers are responsible for safeguarding their certificate codes. Lost codes cannot be replaced for security reasons.

Validity

  • Validity Period: Gift certificates are valid for 5 years from the date of issue.
  • Termination of Business: In the unlikely event that Strings.ie ceases operations, gift certificates will not be refundable. However, we will notify certificate holders and provide options for redemption or refund in accordance with applicable laws.

9. Limitation of Liability

Strings.ie shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of the use of our website or products. Our total liability to you for any claims related to your purchase is limited to the amount paid for the goods.

This limitation of liability applies to:
